Easy Access to Many Sites

This hotel is in a great location for access to the University of Virginia. It's near several shopping areas including a Whole Foods and Trader Joe's. There are numerous chain restaurants nearby. It's also within easy driving distance to Thomas Jefferson's Monticello.

One of the nice perks at this hotel is they offer complimentary coffee throughout the day as well as fresh lemon water. They also provide cookies in the afternoon.

Rooms a Bit Rundown

Aside from the large, flat-screen TVs, the room furnishings feel a bit old. The mattresses seem to be at the end of their life cycle - a bit lumpy and worn. Carpet and walls are very worn and in desperate need of a refurb. Rooms also have a bit of a musty smell, and the heating and A/C units are old, noisy, and run constantly.

Busy Street Location

This hotel is located on a very busy street which makes it hard to leave the parking lot. You may also need to plan extra time for arriving at your destination during busier times of the day. Rooms that face Route 29 seem to have lots of road noise.

Guests report that the Internet connection is quite slow and doesn't work well in the rooms. Plus, you have to log in daily in order to access it.
