Hotel DoubleTree by Hilton Charlottesville (Charlottesville, USA)

This hotel is located about 15 minutes from the airport, John Paul Jones Arena, and the University of Virginia grounds. It's a great base for exploring all that Charlottesville has to offer including Monticello, Michie Tavern, and so many wineries. Wal-Mart is nearby in case you forgot any must have toiletries.

This hotel has all the amenities you want and need to make your stay comfortable. Rooms are spacious and comfortable and there is a beautiful lobby, a pool, Jacuzzi, and a fitness center that is open 24 hours a day.

The breakfast buffet has plenty of great choices, although there is an additional charge and not included in your rate. Nonetheless, you won't have to go far for a hearty start to your day which includes an omelet station, muffins and pastries, fresh fruit, and a build-your-own yogurt parfait bar.

Guests say it can be a bit hard to find the entrance to this hotel as the sign is easily missed. It shares a parking lot with Sam's Club and the hotel staff will help guide you if you need to call for assistance.

Although they are adequate and clean, the bathrooms are on the smaller side and require you to enter the room completely and close the door before using the facilities as it is that cramped.

This hotel feels a bit dated and could use an upgrade. Some carpets in hallways and rooms are stained and either need a deep clean or replacement. Also, there are some issues with dampness and the smells that go along with it.
