The Esplanade in Llandudno is located inside a renovated Victorian home overlooking Llandudno Bay. The hotel offers 40 bedrooms all of which are ensuite and retain much of their Victorian charm. Almost all rooms are accessible through the lift system and all of the rooms feature wheelchair access. The Esplanade makes an effort to be accessible to guests with disability issues and provides a variety of services in this regard including wheelchair and scooter hire. Electric beds, shower chairs and overhead tracking systems are installed in many of the rooms for guests with disability issues. The on-site Bay View Restaurant serves breakfast and a three course evening meal. The Esplanade Cabaret Bar serves drinks and hosts a variety of entertainment including live cabaret every night. The hotel is close to the beach as well as the Great and Little Ormes where guests can go walking or hiking. Conway Castle is also only five miles away.

The restaurant food is very good and both the breakfasts and the evening meals on offer are tasty. The menu is also quite varied which means that each guests should be able to find something that they like to eat.
The overall décor of the hotel could do with some upgrading. The hotel is somewhat shabby in places and seems slightly untidy. The décor is also a little dated and could maybe be made to look more modern.
The beds in the bedrooms are not very comfortable and some guests have reported not getting a very good nights rest as a result of this.
There are some noise issues throughout the hotel which are quite minor but can still be annoying. The creaky floorboards are wooden and make a noise when you walk on them for example, and this can be heard in other bedrooms as well. Sometimes the showers
