About Stagecoach On The National Register Of Historic Homes, 40 Minutes To Nashville

Stagecoach Inn was built as a relay house and stagecoach stop by Major John P. Gray in 1833. Original name was Gray\'s Inn and served as a stop for patrons such as Andrew Jackson, Jenny Lind, Thomas Daly Rice and Jesse James. It is also known as a stopping point along the Trail of Tears where White Path drank from the well and named it \'Utok Amawak.\' Many years later, it was opened as a restaurant that became an icon in the Tennessee/Kentucky area. The crossroads has continued to flourish throughout the years, helping to keep the Inn infused with an invaluable source of historic lore and tradition. We have tried to keep the timeless feel of the Inn intact and have incorporated updated renovations in the bathroom and kitchen. 5 minutes from the interstate and just a short drive into Nashville but a return back to the quaint charm of being able to view and marvel the diversity of the crossroads today: where automobiles, cyclists and modern day farm equipment meet Amish horse drawn carriages.
