Guests loved the ideal setting of the lodge in Port Douglas. It is close to the famous 4-Mile Beach and ten minutes from Macrossan Street where restaurants and bars are situated. Guests can easily roam the area by foot, but still be in a quiet part of town.
The facilities provided on-site are very pleasing, as expressed by previous guests. Rooms are big and clean with television, lockers, adequate power plugs, and sufficient storage units. Moreover, there is a refreshing pool that is close to the beach as well as common areas with billiard table that guests can enjoy.
The unavailability of the AC during the day was very disappointing to the guests. It was their policy to turn the air conditioning system off between 7:00A.M to 5:00P.M every day and then turn it on again in the evening. This irritated the guests because it can get very hot during summer.
The hot temperature in the kitchen was an issue to previous guests. There was no fan or air conditioning system provided. Thus, it was almost unbearable for guests to be inside the kitchen because according to them it was way too hot.
Guests experienced problem with the free Wi-Fi on-site. The signal was spotty and slow that the guests had difficulty accessing the Internet.
