Maintain your swim fitness in the dedicated lap pool or relax and take a dip in the outdoor pool with its own swim-up bar or simply relax in the steam room and a sauna. The hotel also has a tennis court and BBQ for guest use. Breakfast each day is served in the Agincourt Breakfast Room and for lunch or dinner there are a plethora of local restaurants along nearby Macrossan Street to try. Be sure to visit the Daintree Rainforest (1.5 hours by car) and take a day trip out to the Great Barrier Reef during your stay at the Mantra PortSea.

The lagoon-like pool area of the hotel was a hit with guests travelling as a couple or with their children who enjoyed this area for hours. Adults guests also commented that they liked that there was a bar at the pool where they could grab a drink and relax.
Guests commented that they thought that the styling of the hotel was very basic and lacked any personality and whilst it was functional and minimalist that the rooms did not generate any warmth and were not at all welcoming.
The lack of elevators for some was concerning as they had to carry their bags to and from their rooms. Guests with mobility issues were also frustrated that they could not freely and easily move about the hotel and had to contend with stairs.
