Copthorne Hotel Effingham Gatwick (Copthorne, United Kingdom)

The hotel is a short drive away from Gatwick Airport which is great if you have to catch an early flight. The convenience of the shuttle bus stopping in front of the hotel was greatly appreciated by the guests

If you prefer to look at mature trees instead of buildings out of your hotel window then you won’t be disappointed. The Copthorne Effingham is surrounded by 40 acres of gardens which were described by guests as lovely and peaceful.

Many of the guests have been critical about the public areas in the hotel, as well as the rooms. Some carpets were found to be quite worn whilst the furniture has been described as old and of low quality.

As there is no air conditioning, some guests have said that their rooms felt uncomfortably warm and stuffy, especially in the summer months.

Some guests said they had experienced problems with the Wi-Fi connection. They were either unable to access the internet in their rooms at all or the connection was extremely slow.
