The modern rooms at Britannia Study do what they say on the box: they are clean and basic, student-style accommodation and you even get breakfast thrown into the deal. Overall, good value for money.

Many of Brighton’s attractions can be reached within a 15-minute walk, the beach is close by and you will find a good number of restaurants and shops in the neighbourhood.

It seems the staff is what brings the hotel to life, and the team is described as friendly and professional by many.

You may find the rooms to be too basic for your liking, the feel of Britannia Study to be a strange mix of hostel, student hall and cheap accommodation, while some guests were not impressed at having to cross the road for breakfast or deal with cigarette

A handful of guests were unhappy to find that the weekend brought a lot of noise and rowdiness in the corridors with it, and perhaps also due to the student-age population, the Wi-Fi can be slow due to overuse. Be aware you pay up front.

The lack of parking means it is a decent walk to make it to the paid parking area, so if you are travelling with your car, make sure to factor this into your budget.
