The Cottage is a three-star bed & breakfast located halfway between Honiton and Ilminster. It is off A 303 and nine miles away from the Forde Abbey and Gardens. Guests can choose to have the double bedded room or the room with separate twin beds. All four rooms are situated on the ground floor and are equipped with a television, tea/coffee making facilities, central heating and hospitality tray. En suite bathrooms are provided with showers. The Cottage has a communal patio and a garden where cream teas are served in summers. Complimentary parking is available. Breakfast is available at a very reasonable price and is served in the dining room. A good pub is located close by. There are many areas of tourist attraction nearby. Guests can visit the Crealy Adventure Park, Faraway Countryside Park and Hestercombe gardens. The antique shops of Honiton are only ten miles away from the B&B.
All the guests loved the clean and comfortable rooms. Rooms were done up very well with a country cottage decor and were cosy enough. Guests loved the fact that all rooms were on the ground floor as it made it easy for disabled and old guests as well as for the guests with heavy baggage.
Owners of this cottage B&B were very hospitable and made everyone feel at home with their friendly nature and a smiling face. A warm welcome with tea and biscuits was very much appreciated by the guests. Guests were welcomed by the family dog Rocky. Breakfast was loved by all as it was warm and prepared with fresh ingredients.
The location of this cottage B&B was very convenient as it was off A 303. It was considered to be perfect for an overnight transit stay by most of the guests. A pub, which was two minutes' walk away, was loved by most of the guests. Moreover, there were many places of tourist attraction nearby like parks and sanctuaries.
Few guests could hear their next room neighbours talking and snoring, which disturbed their sleep. They felt that this could be because of thin walls in the rooms.
Some of the guests found the beds slightly uncomfortable as they were lumpy and hard. Sleep quality suffered as a result.
Few guests were disappointed to find a slight damp in the bathroom with many insects hovering around. They stated that the bathrooms needed better upkeep.
