Avra City Hotel (Chania, Greece)

The hotel is small but quaint. It's a decent place in a renovated building. There are five floors with four rooms to each floor with two additional rooms. Rooms are clean with non-fussy décor. Though there isn't much of a view, you will still enjoy the overall ambiance of the facility.

Breakfast at the hotel should at least be given a try. The quality is acceptable and the buffet menu offers a satisfactory choice. You are even allowed to squeeze your own fresh juice from the tasty oranges supplied by the hotel. There are also decent restaurants nearby. For a good cup of cappuccino, check-out the Bespoke restaurant across from the hotel.

You can't beat the staff for attentiveness and courtesy. They are a very helpful lot and assist with various things like arranging excursions and providing recommendations for activities and restaurants. There is a welcoming feeling about the character of the personnel that make you feel at home.

If your room happens to be next to the garden, it could get a bit noisy. Guests are allowed to hang-out in the garden, which can go till late at night.

Amenities like a swimming pool, sauna, or Jacuzzi and so on, would really complement this hotel and make it more enjoyable.

Underground parking is a huge dilemma as the parking is so narrow. It's difficult to park and there are plenty of indications where cars have been damaged due to the damaged wall. The tiles going up are slippy as well. If anything, dealing with the hotel parking will test your driving skills!
