Wine Museum (Paris, France)

The Museum of wine is located in the former quarries of Paris which have been dug out between the13th and 18th century to provide the growing city with stone. Later the tunnels were converted into cellars for the Passy monastery and in 1950 they have undergone refurbishment and were used as a wine cellar for the restaurant of the Eiffel Tower, before being developed into the Wine Museum. Today the museum offers an introduction into the art of making wine, with exhibits of centuries of wine-making and viticulture.
