The Glenlivet Distillery (Ballindalloch, United Kingdom)

La distillerie Glenlivet est la plus ancienne distillerie légale d’Écosse, fondée en 1824, l’année même ou le gouvernement légalisa la distillation. Elle est restée ouverte sans interruption depuis, sauf durant la deuxième guerre mondiale. Elle appartient aujourd’hui à la compagnie Pernod-Ricard. La visite, retraçant l’histoire de la distillerie ainsi que celle du whisky en Écosse, est gratuite et comprend la dégustation du Glenlivet 12 ou 18 ans d’age. Une boutique et un café accueillent également les visiteurs. Cette attraction s’est vu accorder 5 étoiles par l’office de tourisme écossais et se trouve sur la “Route du Whisky de Malt d’Écosse”.
