Sudbury Hall and the National Trust Museum of Childhood (Sudbury, United Kingdom)

Sudbury Hall is in the picturesque village of sudbury, Ashbourne and dates back to the 17th Century. It is the creation of George Vernon who died in 1702, and is still the home of the Vernon family today although it was given to the Treasury in 1967 as part payment of duties, and then transferred to the National Trust. One of the main features of the house is the Long Gallery, which runs the entire length of the house and its walls are covered with 17th century portraits of the family. There are also extensive gardens and woodland walks, and a lake. The house was also used in the BBC Production Pride and Prejudice.
