Aberdour Silver Sands is a Blue Flag beach situated in Fife, not far from the town of Burntisland. A sandy beach with woods behind it, it has a lifeguard service during summer. Amenities include a café, a first aid point, a slipway and toilets with disabled facilities. Dogs are allowed on the beach. Silver Sands is suitable for fishing, sailing, kayaking and surfing as well as swimming. The play area includes a bouncy castle for children. The Fife Coastal Footpath runs just behind Silver Sands beach, and it is also possible to walk to Hawkcraig along the top of the cliffs. The walk itself offers views of Edinburgh, and from the beach there are views of Inchcolm, Inchkeith and Inchmickery islands in the Firth of Forth.
