Queens Park (Brighton, United Kingdom)

During Victorian times Queens Park was known as Brighton Park but was renamed in 1892 in honour of Queen Adelaide, the wife of King George 1V. It was officially opened to the public on the 10th August 1892. A large lake and duck pond forms its main focal point but there is also a wildlife garden and a scented garden that has been developed for partially sighted visitors. Facilities include a children’s playground, sandpit, tennis court, café and toilets. The park is open daily during the summer months from 10.30am until 5.30pm but only at weekends during the winter
