Preston Hall Museum is housed within Preston Hall, which was built in 1825 and is now owned by Stockton Borough Council. There are various rooms within the museum that depict how Victorians lived and there is a street designed to look like the 1890’s. This street contains a bank, police station and a blacksmith . There is an armoury collection displayed in the old wine cellar and this collection dates from the 1600’s to 1914. Whilst the famous painting “The Dice Players” is on display in the hall. The park around the hall has an a aviary, playground and walkways. The museum is open at the following times: Monday-Friday from 10.00am - 4.00pm Saturday-Sunday from 11.00 - 4.30pm Admission charges are: Adult £1.30 (2 Euros) Children 60p (1 Euro)
