The Marble Palace is located within the New Park, near the Heiligen See. The palace was built from 1787 to 1793 in the neoclassical style, the architects were Carl von Gonthard and Carl Gotthard Langhans. Originally it was the summer residence of Frederick William II, later on it served as the main residence of Emperor William II and his wife and also Crown Prince William has lived here for a while.The palace has undergone extensive refurbishments and is now accessible for visitors again. To be seen are 40 rooms, including a concert hall and the private rooms of the king. The Marble Palace, as member of the Parks and Palaces of Potsdam and Berlin, is listed as a World Heritage Site by the UNESCO. Open from April to October, Tuesday to Sunday 10am to 5pm and from November to March weekends from 10am to 4pm.
