Kolberg Lighthouse (Kolobrzeg, Poland)

This lighthouse is located at the old harbour of Kolberg adjacent to a promenade with eateries and souvenir stalls. The lighthouse was built in 1948 to replace the original 1909 lighthouse which had been destroyed in 1945 during the war. The original lighthouse also featured on banknotes from 1923. It consists of a 26m high tower with a former fort dating from 1832 at its base. Light bursts have a duration of 2 seconds with a second interval and can be seen for approximately 30km. Subsequent to its 1981 renovations the lighthouse has been opened to the public daily at 10h00 and the entry tariff is approximately 1 Euro for adults.
