Dunham Massey (Altrincham, United Kingdom)

Dunham Massey is a National Trust property that was formerly the home of the Earl of Stamford. The stately home and gardens are located in a small village approximately 5 km from Altrincham. The main house at Dunham Massey was built in 1616 by Sir George Booth and later remodelled several times for successive owners. Three of the buildings - the hall, stables and carriage house - carry the highest level of protected listing. Highlights include a major collection of Huguenot silver, a deer park, guided tours and extensive gardens. The house and mill are open from the beginning of March to the end of October but closed on Thursdays and Fridays. The gardens, park and restaurant are open year round. Standard adult admission is £9 (€10.50) with reductions for children, families, groups and people arriving by public transport.
