City Hall (Turin, Italy)

In Turin befindet sich ein reizvoller Platz Palazzo di Cittá (übersetzt Stadtpalast), in der sich das Stadthaus mit demselben Namen befindet. Es wird behauptet, dass dieser Platz einst der Handelsplatz der Stadt war. Im Winter verschönern Lichter den Platz. Er ist außerdem vom Stadtverkehr etwas entfernt und daher ruhig gelegen. Im Mittelalter scheint er der wichtigste Handelsplatz der Stadt Turin gewesen sein. Dort wurden Butter und Brot verkauft. Das Bauprojekt dieses Gebäudes entstand durch den Architekten Francesco Lanfranchi im Jahre 1963. Heute trifft sich im sog. Rosa-Saal (Sala Rossa) der Gemeinderat dieser Stadt. Mittlerweile heißt der Palast übrigens Palazzo Civico (übersetzt Bürgerpalast).
