Churchill War Rooms (London, United Kingdom)

The Cabinet War Rooms is a museum in London that forms a part of the Imperial War Museum. It is located beneath the Treasury building in the Whitehall area of Westminster and consists of a network of underground rooms that were used as the operational control and command centre by the British government during World War 2. These rooms are often referred to as Churchill’s Rooms or the Churchill Museum. The rooms were first opened up to the general public in 1984. The Cabinet War Rooms are open daily from 9.30 am until 6pm. Admission charges are: Adult - £12.95 (14 Euros) Concessions - £10.40 (12 Euros) Children (under 16) - Free Group discounts are available for parties of 10 or more people. The nearest Underground station is Westminster with connections to the Jubilee, Circle and District Lines.
