Bard on the Beach (Sydney, Australia)

Bard on the Beach is an exciting and new outdoor performance group, which has been built on the legacy of ‘Shakespeare By The Sea’ that was a regular feature in Sydney from 1987 - 2011. The group is based at Balmoral Beach’s Band Rotunda on stunning Sydney Harbour and has been growing in popularity since their highly successful premiere season in 2012. Bard by the Beach also has tour programs for community groups and schools that travel throughout New South Wales, A.C.T and in 2014 into Queensland. It is the aim of the group to bring the works of the world’s greatest playwright to life, live and outside on Sydney’s beautiful coastline. The beginning of 2015 will bring The Tempest and A Midsummer Night’s Dream to Balmoral Beach from January to March, with other works and performances occurring throughout the year.
