Zante Pantheon Hotel (Planos-Tsilivi, Greece)

It’s very personal here because there are less than 30 rooms. So you quickly get to know everyone, including the fabulous staff. Rooms are cleaned daily with regular changes to bedding and towels. Very friendly and efficient, staff will tell you all the best places to go, where top value can be enjoyed. The Pantheon is a good starting point, though; a great little hotel! Having said that, you’re really missing out if you don’t go on the Captain Spirros speed boat cruises to Shipwreck Bay and Turtle Island.

Breakfast is fine and the portions for later meals are very generous. There’s a good number of great alternative restaurants nearby but, because everything is so good here, there’s little incentive to ‘give them a go’. All in all, though, every aspect of the holiday is ‘tip – top’. Move over, Shirley Valentine!

The pool and surroundings are beautifully clean and there are plenty of sunbeds ... so the ‘towel brigade’ are wasting their time really. The hotel is very near to the little town. It’s a very short walk but, be careful … there’s no pavement!
