Villiers Hotel (Buckingham, United Kingdom)

Guests loved the vintage look of the hotel with its cobbled courtyard and the room decor. Hotel staff, especially the ones at the reception, were reportedly very courteous and helpful.

Situated in the center of Buckingham with many places of tourist attraction close by, guests loved the location of the hotel. It was easy for the guests to navigate around. There were plenty of parking spaces with a 24-hour CCTV camera for security.

Guests loved the full English continental breakfast with lots of choice. The food at the AA awarded restaurant was very good and well prepared. Bar was nice and cosy, and served good drinks.

Wi-Fi connection was very slow and kept disconnecting. The work of some self-employed guests suffered a lot due to the sluggish Wi-Fi connection. Even the telephone signals were bad in some of the rooms. Most of the guests were not too happy with the low lighting in the room as it was difficult for them to walk around.

Sinks in some bathrooms were cracked. Ceiling and walls had molds growing on them. There was only a bath and no shower making it difficult for elderly people to take a bath. Most of the guests felt that there was a need of a functional air conditioning as the rooms tend to get hotter by the day. The small fan in the room was insufficient to cool the room.
