The grand Antwerpen Centraal Station is 15 minutes away with the nearby tram, putting guests within a few minutes’ walk of the zoo and easy reach of other attractions like the old town, shopping and Rubenshuis. Guests appreciated the welcoming and accommodating service they received from staff across the board, and particularly in the bar and restaurant, while the buffet breakfasts were considered lovely, with plenty on offer to choose from.
You will find Scandic Antwerpen’s indoor pool and sauna nice to relax in, and the private, on-site car parking and easy accessibility from the ring road were also appreciated.
The hotel’s rooms were found to be big, clean, sporting comfortable beds, and were well-equipped with everything you could need, including tea and coffee-making supplies.
Scandic Antwerpen was thought to be a little too far out from the city by a number of guests, with not much in the area to see or do, but the city was found to be easy to access with buses and trams a short walk away.
Some of those who stayed thought the bedroom decor seemed a little tired and in need of a makeover, while others reported some road noise in their rooms, so if you are a light sleeper, perhaps take some earplugs or ask for quieter quarters.
Although having car parking on site was appreciated, a few of those who stayed thought the charge to be a little on the expensive side.
