The location is the real selling point of this hotel. Near Dam Square and the Red Light District, travellers couldn't find a better jumping off point for exploring Amsterdam.

Guests who book happily comment that it's just a place to sleep, and in that way, Travel delivers. Simple bedding, basic rooms, and low prices offer what most bookers expect.

The 24 hour bar is a unique selling point for this hotel as it is not common in the rest of town. With dark wood furnishings and cheap tipples, guests are invited to imbibe at any hour of day.

Amsterdam doesn't have much space in general, but rooms at Travel are particularly cramped. Beds are pushed in. While that is great for group travellers, it can be difficult to manoeuver in the tiny space. Bathrooms are also quite small.

Guests consistently express the opinion that the accommodations are more like a hostel. Upkeep is dodgy and rooms are not always cleaned to guest satisfaction. Wi-Fi is available, but most say it only works in the lobby.
