Guests thought that this hotel represented good value for money. Rooms were satisfactory given the price, and guests appreciated the cleanliness, nice decor and comfortable beds. Added bonuses were the English channels and decent Wi-Fi.
Location a plus.
This hotel was close to everything that a traveller would want. There was no wasting money on an overpriced tuk-tuk here, and guests loved the freedom to be able to walk to nightlife and shopping in just a few minutes.
A nice way to start a visit.
Guests were happy with the great hospitality that they received, which included a friendly and patient front desk crew. If you are intimidated about being in a foreign country, guests said that you will soon feel right at home.
Noise around the clock.
If you want to stay in a bustling area, you sometimes have to put up with things like traffic and pedestrian noise at all hours of the day. If you would rather avoid the vibrant nightlife that sometimes spills out onto the street, ask for a room at the back.
Restaurant could use some improvement.
Service at the restaurant was often said to be slow and unfriendly. Food was also described as mediocre, and guests recommended venturing to one of the many nearby restaurants in search of something a little more appetising.
Power outages not uncommon.
Depending on what season you stay in, you may be one of the unfortunate ones who experiences a power outage. Guests said this often meant that power was out for a long time, and with no sign of a generator, cold showers and a lack of air-conditioning were the norm.
