The Swan Hotel (Alresford, United Kingdom)

This place is within walking distance of pretty much anywhere in town. You can find plenty of places to eat, drink, and shop just down the street. It's a lovely old town that is perfect for a weekend trip away from the city.

The breakfast is so good at this place that even the locals eat there regularly. There is plenty on offer, and all is cooked to perfection. You'll find that it's great value for money and that you might even be able to skip lunch if you go for the full English.

The staff that work here are either very well trained or just extremely nice people. They really can't do enough for their guests and no matter what happens they always have a smile on their faces. A lovely small town welcome.

The pub is a busy one and stays open late quite often. You'll hear a fair bit of noise from the beer garden as people stand outside smoking. This is not what you expect in a quiet country inn and not the best way to spend a relaxing weekend.

This place looks nice but when you realize just how thin the walls are you'll feel a little aggrieved at having paid to stay here. If you have noisy neighbours, then be prepared to hear every word of their conversation. Pack some earplugs.

If you are larger than average, then you may find it a bit troublesome taking a shower in the very small bathrooms. They aren't really designed very well and you can see that they just tried to get everything into as small a space as possible.
