If there is a way the staff can satisfy your needs you may be in for a surprise. For example if you love to drink a lot of tea, don't be surprised to wake up with a tray full of extra tea at your door.
The food is tasty and the hotel offers huge portions. Many visitors have complimented the hotel's deliciously cooked gammon.
You will love the nature in the surrounding area. Everywhere there are walkways, the river, and the location is fantastic for trips to Llanberis, Betws-y-Coed, and Conwy Beach. Take the walk along the river route if you are going to the Glasdir centre, it's very relaxing.
The shower in the bathroom looks wonderful; however, the water coming out is just a trickle. Very disappointing. The curtains could be better as well. Your room is like daylight 24/7.
You may look bewildered when you find earplugs in your room. You will find out why rather quickly, it gets quite noisy during the evening and the plugs still may not help you have a good night's sleep. Noise from the bar, music, shouting, visitors banging on doors, it's like a “Carry On” movie. When you finally manage to get some sleep, be prepared to be awakened by the street cleaners in the early morning.
