Situated in the heart of the charming village of Carnforth, the The County Hotel Hotel offers recently updated accommodation and features a ‘local’ pub that is popular with locals and guests alike. The spacious rooms are simply furnished with contemporary pieces. Each features en-suite bathroom with hairdryer and toiletries, TV, work area, tea/coffee station and radio. Reception is on hand to assist with local information; while off street parking is also available. Both continental and full English breakfast options are available every morning. There is also a restaurant and carvery serving the very best of hearty Lancashire and English dishes, as well as a popular pub. The The County Hotel Hotel is barely 200 yards from Carnforth Railway Station, while the town itself is an excellent base to explore the lovely Lancashire countryside. For those visiting the Lake District, Lake Windermere is about 22 miles to the north.

Most guests have found the staff at the County Hotel to be friendly and welcoming. Some do mention that the breakfast service was a little chaotic due to one member of staff trying to juggle serving the meal with covering reception but the service otherwise seems to be fairly attentive.
Guests have found the location of the County Hotel convenient, often citing how it is easily accessible from the M6. Carnforth is described as having a decent selection of shops and dining options. Plus, the hotel is ideally placed for guests who wish to visit the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks.
