Views are just lovely.
The views of Morecombe Bay from the guest rooms and Waterfront Restaurant really are pretty special. Watching the sun set below the distant ocean horizon each evening is a particular treat.
Nestled on Morecombe's ever-popular seafront promenade is the Clarendon, a traditional townhouse hotel dating back to the 19th century. Splendid views, helpful staff and evocative interiors are this classic three-star's chief attributes. All of the traditionally attired guest bedrooms feature en-suite facilities, TVs, hairdryers and hospitality trays as standard. Many rooms boast sea views. Room service, laundry facilities and daily newspapers are available from The Clarendon Hotel's 24-hour reception. A lift serves all floors and free Wi-Fi is accessible in all public areas. Free parking is provided on-site. Along with breakfast, an extensive fish and grill menu is served daily in the bay-facing Waterfront Restaurant. Afternoon tea and bar snacks are available throughout the day in the lounge bar. Cask ales, pool, darts, and big-screen sports action are on hand in the cosy basement pub, The Davy Jones Locker. Morecombe Train Station and the Eric Morecombe statue are ten-minutes' walk away.

The staff here fall very squarely into the 'can't do enough for you' stable of hospitality workers. Honestly, you'll be hard-pushed to find a friendlier, more enthusiastic hotel team anywhere else in Morecombe.
Impressive features like the grand main staircase and the classical plasterwork, along with the dark wood, creaky floorboards and slightly reserved ambience give The Clarendon a real air of authenticity.
Old box-style televisions offering a choice of three channels: it is fair to say that the digital TV revolution has yet to infiltrate The Clarendon's guest accommodations...
After-hours revelry isn't unknown in this part of town, especially on Friday and Saturday nights. Pack some ear plugs to lessen your chances of being woken by Morecombe's tipsiest 'X-Factor' impersonators.
There's no getting away from it: you're either making noise whenever you step on a creaky floorboard or you're hearing noise when the people staying in the room above do the same thing. Creak!!!
