Views are just lovely.

The views of Morecombe Bay from the guest rooms and Waterfront Restaurant really are pretty special. Watching the sun set below the distant ocean horizon each evening is a particular treat.

The staff here fall very squarely into the 'can't do enough for you' stable of hospitality workers. Honestly, you'll be hard-pushed to find a friendlier, more enthusiastic hotel team anywhere else in Morecombe.

Impressive features like the grand main staircase and the classical plasterwork, along with the dark wood, creaky floorboards and slightly reserved ambience give The Clarendon a real air of authenticity.

TVs aren't the best.

Old box-style televisions offering a choice of three channels: it is fair to say that the digital TV revolution has yet to infiltrate The Clarendon's guest accommodations...

Late-night street noise can be disturbing.

After-hours revelry isn't unknown in this part of town, especially on Friday and Saturday nights. Pack some ear plugs to lessen your chances of being woken by Morecombe's tipsiest 'X-Factor' impersonators.

Floorboards are a little noisy.

There's no getting away from it: you're either making noise whenever you step on a creaky floorboard or you're hearing noise when the people staying in the room above do the same thing. Creak!!!
