The hotel is in an ideal location. It is near places like Old Sacramento and Capitol downtown. There are many attractions and the freeway is very close by as well.

The staff at the hotel know what they are doing. Check-in is fast and they offer suggestions and try to assist you with whatever your needs are from the nearest pharmacy to things to do in the area.

Clear And Present Nostalgia

The hotel underwent a renovation, but they managed to maintain the historical charm of the décor. Everything from the antique elevators to the political cartoon wall design makes this a unique and interesting place.

Stay Away From The Street

If your room is facing the street, get ready for plenty of noise. Not only that, the rooms are quite small with a musty old smell to them. It's hard to tell if the building is just old and crappy or distinctive and charming.

The Wi-Fi is not complimentary. In most every place in the world it is, so why should this hotel be any different? In fact, it is somewhat insulting to have to pay when you could possibly go to the nearest restaurant and get it for free.

Watch The Hood

The neighborhood leaves a lot to be desired. There are homeless people hanging around who bother you begging for money and overall harassing you. The rowdy hotel does not help matters either.
