The hotel offers a lot of extra options for dining and entertainment. There are many special and weekend rates that are often combined with meals, dancing, and even live music.

The staff is very friendly and welcoming and works hard to resolve any issues or problems to the customer's satisfaction. The staff is also very helpful and does unexpected things for guests in order to make the stay more pleasant.

The rooms are clean and comfortable and provide a value for the price paid. Breakfast is on time and there is no problem with serving multiple guests when the inn is busy. Dinner is also offered, making it convenient in this more remote location, and dinner may even be sent up to the guest rooms.

The rooms can be quite chilly, even in the summertime, when the heat is completely turned off. In the winter, there is a decided chill and the heat is known to frequently malfunction. Unfortunately, the shower has the same problem so don't expect a scalding steamy shower here.

Although the hotel did go through recent renovations and refurbishments, it still feels that the rooms and decor are old-fashioned. The furnishings are dated, but functional.

The food is not first-rate, either at breakfast or dinner. The breakfast bar frequently runs out of items from day to day and those items can be sorely missed for a complete and pleasant meal. There is also food available in the bar, but it is fried and greasy and lacklustre.
