The outdoor swimming pool at Sutra Beach Resort is a fantastic place to spend some time. It is a decent size and the view out across the beach is exceptional. Indeed, the overall vista of the scenery is stunning. The landscape and garden are really well maintained.
The location of this resort is ideal if you want to go to the beach. It is literally right next to it and is pretty long, which is great if you feel like going for a pleasant stroll along the water's edge. You'll also find yourself close to Redang ferry. Considering its fine position, the property is nicely quiet as well.
The staff here are quick to try to deal with any issues you bring to their attention and will do their best to make sure you are having as enjoyable time as possible.
Sutra Beach Resort is starting to feel really rather old and tired. Many of the facilities here are in need of some serious maintenance. The furniture and fittings appear past their best and everything could do with a lick of paint. Some of the air-conditioning units don't work, the bathrooms could use an upgrade and the linen and towels are ready to be replaced.
Some previous guests have commented that the level of cleanliness here wasn't as good as they would have hoped for.
The options on the menu in the restaurant are limited and the food that is on offer isn't especially tasty. For the price you pay, you would hope for something better.
