Sunbay Hotel (Oistins, Barbados)

This spot is nicely situated near bustling Bridgetown and Oistins, Dover and Miami beaches with access to a private, secluded beach area just across the street. There is a sister hotel, Beach Club Hotel, on the ocean nearby with which many features are shared including the beach, entertainment and a lively club. Local transportation and taxis are affordable and you can usually grab a taxi waiting out front. Check out the reggae bus stop nearby for a fun ride into town, or simply hire a car for optimal convenience.

The rooms are remarkably spacious and beds are also large and comfortable. These are no frills, adequate rooms that tick all the boxes for the most part - but you won't write home about them.

The staff here have been rported by previous guests to be friendly and polite making each and every guest feel welcome.

Most had trouble using the Wi-Fi in their rooms and had to settle for the lobby, pool area, or occasionally balconies. Others found it worked fine in their rooms, depending on location.

Most felt that more options would be ideal for breakfast and the quality of foods for all meals was sub-par.

Some may feel the accommodations are a bit pricey for the provisions - the hotel exterior is drab while rooms offer sparse amenities. Complimentary toiletries include only wrapped bar soaps and there are often no wash-cloths, microwaves or coffee makers. Safes don't work, televisions are old and soundproofing is poor.
