It's not far from LEGOLAND® and the Look Out Discovery Centre, so younger kids will have something to look forward to while being away from home. There are also plenty of parks, Nature sites, and sports activities to keep kids or older siblings interested.
Staff at Stirrups Country House love doing what they can to help make everything a success. They're easy to get a hold of, friendly to talk to, and knowledgeable about the area. Dealing with such happy attitudes gives your stay an added boost.
The rooms are quite spacious, whether they're sleeping one or five. Comfortable colours and aesthetics, and beds that are snugly, combine to make luxury settings that everyone can enjoy.
Many don't like that the inn charges for breakfast. Added to that gripe is that for the prices that the breakfast do cost, nothing special is delivered. Ingredients are poorly seasoned, of low quality, and small portioned. A cheaper and heartier meal has been gotten elsewhere.
Thin walls allow for every sound to reach between rooms, so you may need to pack ear plugs just in case. The road noise is just as bad, which means that if the windows need to be open, you may have trouble sleeping peacefully.
As cosy as the rooms are, they're also looking too worn out for the prices. They need to be refreshed, matched better, and brightened up, to well support the luxury sentiment the building presents.
