Positive Reviews

positive:

Exceptionally caring staff.

Members of staff are exceptionally caring and friendly. They know that, for many, this is an entirely new experience in a completely foreign country - so they do all they can to put you at your ease. They ensure that you are armed with the detail you need to explore Tokyo to maximum advantage... and they do this brilliantly.

positive:

Clean and safe.

Everywhere is scrupulously clean and well maintained - and it's clear that they've given much thought to the security of their guests and property. *If arriving back in the early hours, access is via a keycard.

positive:

First class location.

For the price, it's difficult to imagine a better accommodation choice. Restaurants, bars and shops are here in their multitudes and transport is easy to access. EG: it's only about a 15-minute walk to Ueno Station.

Negative Reviews

negative:

A hard day - and a harder night

Beds and pillows are ‘rock hard'. This suits some people but, for many it means a sleepless night, accompanied by aching limbs the following morning.

negative:

Tiny accommodation.

Rooms are small - but this comes as no surprise. Tokyo is notorious for being overcrowded. All you can do is accept this as being part of an unforgettable experience and just - go with the flow! The hotel is quite difficult to find too; down an alley and on the corner of a side street. Once you've found it, though, the problem is permanently solved.

negative:

Could do with a facelift.

Rooms are clean but in need of a re-vamp. They are getting quite dated now. The prices are very attractive though so, if some aspects need investment, the prices would increase accordingly. Swings + roundabouts!
