A Family Business Sascha Obert and his wife Tanja faced the challenge to take over the traditional Franconian hotel and restaurant from Sascha's parents on January 3, 2011. The first generation, Georg and Dolores Obert had the business since 1979. In 1992 it was renovated, now it seats 105 guests plus 60 in the garden and has a hotel with 16 beds. Spundloch is situated in the heart of the village Veitshöchheim, just opposite the well-known Roccoco Garden. It is a 10 minute ride by car to the center of Würzburg. The philosophy It is of utmost importance for the Oberts to give a fresh touch to the restaurant. The hotel and wine restaurant Spundloch selected the motto "Enjoyment of wine and culinary delights". Wine is part of the Franconian lifestyle and culinary delights are a symbol for an attitude towards life that relishes each moment. "It is a gastronomy which wants more" says Sascha Obert when he is asked about his concept. "High-quality wines, fair prices, enjoyment and recreation for everybody. in a nutshell: Enjoying a glas of good wine and a tasty meal in a relaxed atmosphere." There is also a little wine shop where the guests can buy the wines from the menue - at producer prices! A well-equipped wine cellar welcomes you to taste the products of the top wineyards of the region and Sascha Obert guides you through these tastings himself. For the young owner it is important to stick to the tradition of the family business with good Franconian food and a special feel-good atmosphere.
