Guests found the location be excellent, since it is an easy walk to the old town market square, Wawel Castle and the river, and there is also plenty to see in the historically Jewish quarter of Kazimierz, with a wide choice of eateries and bars nearby.
Those who stayed considered the staff members to be friendly, polite and helpful wherever they could be, and particularly handy in assisting with tour bookings.
Only Spatz’s third-floor rooms have air conditioning, and it seems other rooms can get a bit warm in summer months, meaning you may have to leave your window open and experience a small amount of noise.
Be aware that there is no elevator here and guests said that reaching the highest floors by stairs can take a little effort, so book lower if you are not so physically able or have lots of luggage.
Although this was not a big issue, a small number of guests were disappointed to find there were not any hotel common areas, aside from the restaurant and bar.
