Hotel Shangri-La Tokyo (Tokyo, Japan)

Travellers say the employees at the hotel do an exceptional job of helping you out during your stay. It doesn't matter what you need, they are able to make it happen.

The property has a relatively central location and is near a number of subway stations including Tokyo Station which is less than a two-minute walk from the hotel. This also means cruising the city using the subway is fairly easy as well. Imperial Palace, Ginza shopping district and a number of other points of interest are within walking distance too.

Accommodations are quite large and give you plenty of room to enjoy. Visitors claim that the spacious rooms are a welcome addition considering how Japan is known for tiny living spaces.

There is a gym on-site along with an indoor swimming pool but some guests state that the facilities could be better. You won't find a steam room in the fitness centre and the gym and pool also seem to be a bit small according to a couple of visitors.

The atmosphere at the hotel is very buttoned up according to several travellers who note that the overall ambiance of the property is very much geared towards the business crowd. While the atmosphere isn't awful, it can feel a bit subdued if you are use to surroundings being a bit livelier.

A few visitors point out that the beds can be a bit too soft. While you won't sink into the bed or anything like that, it can be a bit of an issue if you are use to a firmer mattress.
