Serviced apartment Southwark Hotel & Apartments (Christchurch, New Zealand)

With a lovely little cafe right around the corner, a couple of supermarkets a short walk away and several lively bars and clubs nearby (but out of earshot); it's easy to see why plenty of guests have been won over by this property's location. Being within an easy stroll of the city centre was seen as the icing on the cake.

As well as being friendly and helpful, many guests have observed that the staff members here are always willing to go out of their way to accommodate visitors' needs and requests. Even travellers who arrived at very unsociable hours said they were welcomed warmly and looked after with good grace.

A significant number of visitors have been impressed by the clean interiors and modern vibe (and facilities) throughout this property.

The vast majority of visitors who've stayed in standard accommodations have been distinctly disappointed by the amount of room they had to play with. Evidently, space is at a premium here.

It has been noted that those guest rooms at the more modest end of the price spectrum are not fitted with any air-conditioning facilities. Suffice to say, many guests who stayed here during the summer months were less-than-impressed by this.

Numerous travellers have pointed out that the noise insulation between the accommodations left a little to be desired. Some visitors said they were disturbed not only by guests in neighbouring rooms talking loudly and watching TV but also by the sound of people snoring.
