Guests found the hotel to be in a quiet location yet close to public transportation with a metro stop only five minutes away. They agreed that it was easy to get to the train station and Schiphol Airport within roughly 30 minutes and that you could also walk to the Museums District as well as many restaurants and shops.
The hotel provides free tea and coffee in the lobby, which guests were quite happy with so they could start their day or recharge after a long day exploring the city of Amsterdam.
Guests appreciated the staff's helpfulness and caring, warm attitude they experienced from when they first checked in to their last day at the hotel. The front-desk staff seemed sincerely interested in making guests feel welcome.
Several guests reported that they were less than impressed with the housekeeping staff, as they found dirty bathrooms with hair in the sink, dead bugs in the corners and grimy floors. Some had to ask for extra soap and tissues as these were not refilled as they should have been. Some special requests for additional pillows were not fulfilled.
Several guests commented on the fact that breakfast was not very extensive and therefore quite overpriced with much better selections available at cafes in close proximity of the hotel.
