Royal Hotel (Woolacombe, United Kingdom)

The front facing rooms, with balcony, have really spectacular sea views, with further views in the direction of Exmoor and Lorna Doone country.

Breakfast and dinner menus are plentiful, well prepare and appetising. Can’t knock it!

Rooms are cleaned to a good standard and bedding and towels are spotlessly clean. The heated swimming pool is deservedly popular and entertainment in the bar is surprisingly good. There’s no need to travel anywhere because all needs are met here. Woolac

You tend to get the best views from any elevated position and views are spectacular from this hotel! There are lifts in evidence but whilst the number of steps shouldn’t deter the average person, those with disabilities might be happier staying somewhere

Not the best first impression, reception is faded and unwelcoming. Obviously, this has rubbed off on ‘welcoming’ staff whose lack of interest is really noticeable and off putting.

Everything seems dated and not in very good nick. Out of date rooms, even out of date TVs and communal areas including pool facilities everything need updating. Add to all this, that couldn’t care less staff attitude and any thought of returning here is p
