Everybody working at this hotel is very well trained and they all do an excellent job. You'll receive a warm Scottish welcome when you arrive and all requests are dealt with politely.
Pick a room with a view here because this hotel is right in front of the first tee at the Royal Dornoch Golf Course. Look over the landscaped golf course, watch golfers teeing off and gaze over the blue sea from your window.
The hotel restaurant only really caters for diners that want to gorge on an extravagant meal. If you just want a light dish or a snack you'll see that you are left with very few options on the menu.
Unless you plan to play golf for your entire stay you could get a bit bored here. There are no leisure facilities whatsoever, no swimming pool and no fitness centre, which is a bit poor considering this is a four star hotel.
This hotel can actually end up being a little tricky to find once you arrive in Dornoch, despite it being quite a small town. A few signs on the roads to direct you in the right way would be a great help.
