Round Hill Hotel and Villas (Montego Bay, Jamaica)

The breathtaking scenery at Round Hill & Villas was made even better by the manicured grounds throughout the property. From the subtle scent of tropical flowers, to the perfectly groomed hedges, the landscaping really added to the stay of many guests. You might want to pinch yourself when strolling around this tropical paradise that some found almost too good to be true.

No matter what room or villa you choose, you will find luxury details like deep soaking tubs, rain showers, and mahogany furniture. The Ralph Lauren-designed accommodation had many guests not wanting to leave.

Guests were impressed by inventive food served al fresco to take full advantage of ocean views. Villa guests raved about made-to-order breakfasts that were cooked to perfection. Guests in other accommodation were equally smitten with omelets and custom smoothies made to their liking. Afternoon tea was another guest favorite.

While the beach at Round Hill & Villas is private and pristine, some would have liked a larger area to frolic in the sun. What the beach lacks in size, however, is made up for by the calm waters and white sand of the truly tropical oasis.

While the majority of guests found the staff to be welcoming and kind, some had unpleasant encounters with disinterested staff members. Experiences ranged from surly bartenders to unhelpful front desk staff, but many also raved about the unparalleled service they received.

Some guests found it frustrating that air-conditioning only worked when doors and windows were closed. The problem arose when closed windows with wooden shutters blocked the mesmerizing ocean views. Guests wished they could cool down with the shutters open, and continue soaking up the hard-to-resist ocean landscape.
