This gorgeous 16th century manor house makes for the perfect retreat for travellers staying in Leicester. Stained glass and oak-panelling can be found throughout the hotel, which boasts a history of playing host to the Knights Templar and William Wilberforce when he was working to abolish slavery in the 1700's. Each of the elegantly appointed guest rooms at Hotel Rothley Court is furnished with free Wi-Fi, a TV, iron and ironing board, tea and coffee making facilities, and hairdryer. Some of the rooms have traditional four-poster beds. Guests can enjoy wandering all ten acres of the hotel's grounds, which include a rose garden and babbling brook. The hotel also has a chapel, making it an ideal venue for weddings. The hotel's restaurant, Oak Panelled Babington, which overlooks the garden, serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The hotel is within a few kilometres of many attractions, such as Bradgate Park and the National Space Centre.
