All in all, the food at Rothay Manor gets a big thumbs up. The dinner menu in particular comes in for praise, with guests saying that the dishes served show imagination and flair. The extensive breakfast offering is well thought of too, with guests enjoying the large number of dishes on offer as well as the hearty portion sizes.
Guests love the fact that the big spacious rooms have got big spacious beds to go in them! A number of guests have commented on how large the beds are at Rothay Manor, but just as importantly the beds are described as being comfy too.
The water pressure in some of the showers comes in for some criticism, with guests noting that the pressure is not strong enough for their liking. This is a problem in particular in the rooms where there is only a shower and no bath.
The Wi-Fi connection strength is reported as being weak in some parts of the hotel, including in some bedrooms. This problem is not uncommon in old buildings, and it is worth noting that Rothay Manor was built in the early nineteenth century.
While in general Rothay Manor is in a quiet location, some rooms face busy roads and so guests have said that passing traffic noise can be heard from such rooms. This has proved rather irritating to some guests.
