Rivage Hotel (Sorrento, Italy)

Rivage Hotel is walking distance to all modes of transit including trains, buses and ferries. You won’t need to rely on a car; it’s easy to get to and from Naples by Circumvesuviana train and the buses and ferries have regular service and get you quickly to nearby towns and islands such as Positano, Amalfi and Capri. The hotel is walking distance to the main piazzas and central to many restaurants, shops and bars, which are situated along scenic narrow streets.

Rooms are spacious, clean and cosy with beautiful décor. The bathrooms/showers are also large and well maintained. If possible, book a room with a balcony; the sea views are well worth it. Additionally, rooms are equipped with all the basics you need, from toiletries, to a safe for valuables and a good Wi-Fi connection.

Staff is friendly and attentive; the front desk is helpful booking tours and arranging taxis and service staff is very pleasant. The complimentary breakfast offers great selection and the rooftop restaurant delivers delicious food in a beautiful setting. Additionally, the outdoor pool is a nice bonus, especially with its scenic views and sunsets.

The Rivage Hotel pool is a nice bonus with lovely views but it closes too early, especially if you’re out sightseeing all day. It should be kept open later in the evening.

Sound insulation in the hotel is poor. It’s easy to hear neighbouring guests in their rooms and outside noise at night. Depending where your room is located, you may also hear noise from the bar above.

The buffet breakfast is okay but nothing special; if you aren’t set on a complimentary breakfast to start your day, there are plenty of options nearby.
