Renaissance Minneapolis Hotel, The Depot (Minneapolis, USA)

Spotlessly clean rooms here are maintained to perfection. Plus, there are wonderful facilities and exceptional breakfast choices to start the day. Food, generally, is of good quality and generously portioned. No complaints -The Renaissance starts here!

The proximity of the Water Park and the fun water slides make the hotel a real family favorite. You can get packages that are inclusive of parking (in the enclosed, heated car park), breakfast and access to attractions. Pre-teens will enjoy attractions most but, come on; we're all young at heart!

Some of the rooms here are modern, clean and well decorated. There are some, though, that have origins in the old railway station days; so you can be in a room that used to be a waiting room, booking office, luggage store etc. Really quirky, staying in one of these rooms just adds to the fun element.

Most services here are truly impressive. Parking arrangements, though, are on the skids, dismal and disappointing.

There aren't many conveniently located alternatives to the hotel's restaurants. It's a bit of a journey to find one. Hotel catering, though, is fine, by and large; but service isn't all that good.

Both conference registration and catering functions are set up in the corridors. Pandemonium and confusion reign, resulting in unnecessary pressure and delays, before the event even starts. It certainly doesn't create the ideal prelude for conferences and business meetings.
