The guest rooms at Clarion Hotel and Convention Center are clean and well appointed. Comfortable beds and extra amenities like in-room safe, desk and plenty of toiletries make for a great stay.

If you are travelling with your family, this is a good place to hang your hat. With spacious rooms that include a microwave and minifridge (upon request) plus a complimentary hot breakfast included, it’s easy to stretch your travel budget just a little farther. In addition, there’s an indoor pool and lots of kid-friendly destinations nearby.

This hotel is located right off of I 380, which makes the property easy to reach. Just six miles from Eastern Iowa Airport, you are also within walking distance of restaurants, bars and shopping, and most of the area’s attractions are a short drive away.

Although the hotel is clean, it is seriously in need of an update. Worn-out carpeting and furnishings, as well as linens, towels and bathroom fixtures that have seen better days are among the worst offenders.

The walls and ceilings at Clarion Hotel and Convention Center are rather thin and this can make for a noisy stay, as you can hear the goings on in the room next door and the sound of footsteps above your head. In addition, traffic from the nearby train tracks may keep you awake at night.

The water pressure in the showers can vary and often it is not very strong. This could be problematic if you prefer a shower with a hard stream of water.
